Southwest Michigan Planning Commission

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources requires communities to have a DNR-approved 5-year recreation plan to qualify for many DNR Recreation Grant programs. SWMPC staff works with local communities to create recreation plans as well as assists communities with the grant application process. SWMPC staff works closely with Planning Commissions and Recreation Board/Committees to guide them through the planning and grant process.
